Electric Power Systems
Course
These seminars provide an overview of engineering, design and operation of electric power systems. Energy delivery is traced from generation through transmission and distribution with a review of the engineering principles behind the systems and components in each area. The seminars place particular emphasis on issues of interest to commercial power consumers such as the interface between the customer and the utility, reliability, power-quality, safety and backup generation.
Electric Power
Systems 2
Learning Objective:
Participants will develop a fundamental understanding of power theory with a
working knowledge of generation, transmission and distribution components and
the way in which they integrate into a composite power system.
Participants will also become familiar with real world applications and
examples and develop enhanced problem solving abilities.
