ELECTRIC POWER: SINGLE PHASE OR THREE PHASE
A fundamental knowledge of
electric power is necessary for all engineers.
This course will cover single phase and three phase circuits, sources
and loads (residential, commercial and industrial). It will teach the participants how to
calculate voltages, currents, active and reactive power and power factor.
Schemes for reduction of power losses and voltage drops such as power factor
correction will be taught and design examples given. Economy and safety will be also emphasized in
the course.
