AC Circuits will start with the concepts of time dependent voltages, frequency, average value, and Root Mean Square.  The effects of AC on the capacitor and inductor will lead to the subject of Reactance.  Complex Power will be explored and compared to Real Power.  A natural follow through will lead to Power Factor (both Leading and Lagging), and finally Power Factor Correction.  AC circuits is a comprehensive topic applicable to all engineering disciplines because of its prevalence most everywhere.
